Vrock racing - Unreal Engine 5 racing game

This is another project made together with the amazing @felixberglund , @emul101 , @sandrakall from Visual Magic and together with Futuregames. We were responsible for making all the visuals for their racing game. This was an amazing project to work on. Great vision for this project and a good pipeline. Very pleased with how everything turned out, this project was quite long. we worked on this for about 7 weeks but i think the end result speaks for itself.

The world of the game is set on an alien planet with bird people called "Vrocks" on a racecourse. We modelled the entire racetrack and buildings to be aerodynamic and hollow to reflect birds (hollow bones and very aerodynamic).

I was mostly responsible for making the VFX while filling in to do some other things like foliage, clouds and buildings. I got to use a bit of Houdini during this project but most of my effects were made in Niagara in Unreal Engine. This was my first real time making a video game and it was very rewarding.

I also made the trailer. Unfortunatly i only had about a day to capture footage, edit and add motion graphics too it so it's quite rushed but i think it shows off the mechanics and the overall aesthetic of the game quite well.

I was also responsible for scattering out foliage. All foliage is downloaded from Quixel or bought from the Unreal Engine store.
